About the Library


Library Staff

Mrs. Kim Lindvall - Librarian
This is Mrs. Lindvall's second year at Cholla and she has been the librarian at Abraham Lincoln Traditional School since 2005. Having a background in elementary education, she earned a B.A. from Oregon State University. She earned a M.A. in Teaching English as a Second Language from Grand Canyon University and a M.A. in Information Resources and Library Science from the University of Arizona. Mrs. Lindvall is a member of the selection committee for the Grand Canyon Reader Award. When Mrs. Lindvall isn’t reading, she can be found cheering on her son at sporting events, especially football.


Mrs. Kristine Osborne - Library Technician
After many years in service positions and as a baker, this is Mrs. Osborne's first year in the library. She splits her time between Cholla and Ironwood Elementary School. Outside of school Mrs. Osborne can be found with her her children reading, playing, or cooking something delicious.

Library Hours

 7:55 am to 3:30 pm daily. 
Open for students most days during both 7th and 8th grade lunch.

Our Library's Purpose

The purpose of the Cholla Middle School Library is to support our students' education as lifelong learners and readers by putting resources in the hands of students, encouraging students to read, teaching students the skills necessary to evaluate information, and encouraging student responsibility.

Guidelines and Expectations

Students may check out up to two books at any one time for their own curiosity and enjoyment.  They may also check out one additional book to accomplish class assignments.

 Books are due for return or renewal 3 weeks after the checkout date.

When in the library with their teacher, follow teacher rules and expectations.

BY DISTRICT POLICY, STUDENTS MUST HAVE THEIR DISTRICT ID'S TO CHECK OUT BOOKS.  NO EXCEPTIONS!!
