About the Library

Library Staff

Mrs. Kim Lindvall - Librarian
This is Mrs. Lindvall's first year at Cholla but she has been the librarian at Abraham Lincoln Traditional School since 2005. Having a background in elementary education, she earned a B.A. from Oregon State University. She earned a M.A. in Teaching English as a Second Language from Grand Canyon University and a M.A. in Information Resources and Library Science from the University of Arizona. Mrs. Lindvall is a member of the selection committee for the Grand Canyon Reader Award. When Mrs. Lindvall isn’t reading, she can be found cheering on her son at sporting events, especially football.

Ms. Paloma Cazares - Library Technician
This is Ms. Cazares' first year at Cholla Middle School. She is certified in computer maintenance and computer networking. She comes to us from a K-8 school library and has also played a part in a high school Educational Materials Center. Ms. Cazares is a full-time volunteer working with a Polish-outreach group in Arizona. She is also currently attending Polish language classes to equip her for every good work.

Library Hours

 7:55 am to 3:30 pm daily. 
Open for students most days during both 7th and 8th grade lunch.

Our Library's Purpose

The purpose of the Cholla Middle School Library is to support our students' education as lifelong learners and readers by putting resources in the hands of students, encouraging students to read, teaching students the skills necessary to evaluate information, and encouraging student responsibility.

Guidelines and Expectations

Students may check out up to two books at any one time for their own curiosity and enjoyment.  They may also check out one additional book to accomplish class assignments.

 Books are due for return or renewal 3 weeks after the checkout date.

When in the library with their teacher, follow teacher rules and expectations.
